We are now up to 110 state of heads coming to the last days of the meeting. This must be some kind of record.
US is ramping up their presence. A lot of high level people will attend, like EPA boss Lisa Jackson, energy minister Chu and a secret guest next wednesday (my guess is that his initials are AG...)
Russia is the first country that are signalling that they want to move into negotiation mode. Other countries will follow.
Due to the immense interest they will probably restrict the number of attendants to the plenary sessions. There is simply not enough space... Let's see what happens.
Stay tuned

Hi Andreas,
ReplyDeleteInformation like this gives me a feeling of hope that I havent had for a long time. Being a member of the 350-movement (www.350.org) I won´t even be quite satisfied if Cop 15 is a success.
Yesterday you asked if we had any particular interest in the side events. I you or Jonas(give him my regards) have nothing better to do at the time I would like to recommend:
Developing Carbon markets past 2012, on dec 11 at 14:45,
Wind power, carbon markets, NAMAs and mitigation, on dec 17 at 14:45 (I guess the room will be crowded. At 13:00 in the same room you may want to attend Presentation from the delegation of the US and A),
and of course I would recommend the 350 session on thursday at 14:45.
Have a nice conference! Work hard and enjoy.
